Hello, and welcome to the very first edition of Creativity Cultivated! I’m Lexie Rose, an artist, designer, and creator of this blog. I’m so excited to have you here as I go on this new adventure of sharing my love for art and design with you.
Who I Am
My entire life has been heavily influenced by my creativity, ever since I can remember. From using crayons and stick figures as a child to scribbling in the margins of my school notebooks, art has always been my way of expressing how I see the world. As my passion for art has grown over the years, it has become a vocation. I’ve had the privilege of turning my creative dreams into reality through my patterns and illustrations.
The Vision Behind "Creativity Cultivated"
How come I started this newsletter, then? "Creativity Cultivated" began as a dream to create a space that allows ideas to develop, and dive into the endless possibilites of art and design. I will share not only my artwork but also the stories, ideas, and inspiration that went into it. I want this to be a place where you can find fresh ideas, encouragement, and give you a gentle nudge to start your next creative project.
What You Can Expect
Design Tips & Tricks: I'll give tips and advice that will help you improve your design skills, regardless of how long you've been designing.
Creative Challenges: I’ll offer prompts and challenges to spark your creativity, and push the limits of art.
Inspiration & Resources: I will put together find curated collections of inspiration, from color palettes to design trends, along with resources that can help you on your creative journey.
Motivation & Creative Mindset: I'll talk about the psychological aspects of creativity. I'll be talking about how I stay inspired, get beyond creative blockages, and combine self-care with your artistic endeavors.
My Creative Philosophy
For me, being creative is about expressing what's inside, catching moments, and sharing stories, not simply about creating something beautiful. My designs often reflect a mix of whimsical and nostalgia, and a touch of the unexpected. My inspiration comes from nature, vintage aesthetics, and the little things that makes life magical.
Everybody has the capacity to create something truly great, and with "Creativity Cultivated," My goal is to encourage you to follow your own creative path, wherever it may lead.
